Empirical Ventures Limited is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Empirical Ventures Limited is an appointed representative of SFC Capital Partners Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 736284). The data we collect

• Information you give us. If you contact us, register your interest in investing, or apply for funding, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, organisation and the content of your message or application.
• Investor and founder onboarding. Registering to invest and applying for funding are handled on our behalf by third-party platforms (our investor portal and application provider). Any data you submit there is processed under those providers' privacy notices as well as this one.
• Technical data. This is a static website that does not run analytics or advertising trackers. Your browser may share standard technical information (such as IP address and device type) with our hosting provider for security and delivery, and we store a single functional flag in your browser so the risk warning stays dismissed for your session. How and why we use your data

We use your personal data to:

• respond to your enquiries and correspond with you;
• assess and progress your interest in investing or your application for funding;
• operate, secure and improve this website; and
• meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including those arising from our regulated status.

Our lawful bases for processing are our legitimate interests in running and promoting the fund, taking steps at your request before entering into an arrangement, your consent (where asked for), and compliance with legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We may share your data with our FCA principal, SFC Capital Partners Ltd; with service providers who help us operate the website, investor portal and application process; with professional advisers; and with regulators or authorities where we are required to do so. We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above, including to meet any legal, accounting or regulatory requirements, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
